About
Bonnie Michael moved to Worthington in 1983. Her first house was on Hartford Street. In 1989, just before the birth of her first child, she moved to Worthington Estates. After 27 years, she moved to Ville Charmante. Bonnie has two daughters, Catherine, age 30, and Carolyn, age 28. Both girls are busy working and rearing their children. Bonnie also has two Papillon dogs. When she is not attending civic meetings or community events, Bonnie enjoys yoga and water aerobics classes at the community center. She also loves to read, bike around the parks, go boating; she, and spend her time with her friends and family.
Commitment to the City of Worthington is part of Bonnie's way of life. She attends more civic meetings and events than most people might imagine; and one of her strengths is “connecting the dots.” Bonnie always finds a way to connect one person with another from these varied events in response to meeting resident needs or helping residents achieve their aspirations. As a young girl, Bonnie worked for the local YW/YMCA, was a life guard, and taught swimming lessons at a couple of community pools. Following her undergraduate and first graduate school degree, Bonnie worked for the City of Cleveland’s Division of Recreation, was Superintendent of Recreation for the City of Mentor, Deputy Chief of the Ohio State Parks, and Executive Assistant to the Director of Ohio Department of Natural Resources. She began practicing law in 1986 and opened her private law practice in 1991. |
